HAIRCUTS A Locks of Love donation means that you allow us to cut off at least 6" of your hair (Locks of Love requests dry hair at least 10" long, in a braid or ponytail) which we will then send to this organization (see www.LocksofLove.org). We do not charge for cutting off the hair, but if you would then like your hair to be cut as a hairstyle, we do charge the usual fee. PERMS: Regular and Special (spiral,
piggyback, partial, root, gemini) COLORS HIGHLIGHTS (and lowlights) Only strands of your hair are colored or bleached. These strands can be pulled through a cap with a crochet hook for a random effect. We use a foam cap for its cushiony feel. Or your hair can be artfully woven out and placed on foil. Foiling takes longer and thus costs more. Highlights make the strands lighter than your natural color, using either color or bleach. Lowlights make the strands darker and so can only be done with color. Lowlights, also known as Gray Reduction, are often recommended to lessen the percentage of gray. A partial foil highlight gets the hair at the top and sides of your head. A full foil highlight also includes all the hair in the back and bottom, for those who like to have highlights when the hair is up. Double process (bleach and tone): This is generally done when the hair has to be lightened considerably, and then the tone has to be corrected to achieve the desired look. Please note: To maintain healthy hair, our professional staff strongly recommends the use of the correct salon-quality shampoos and conditioners, especially after any chemical services such as haircolor and permanent waves. We sell at least two to three different brands at all times, therefore we are able to suggest the products appropriate for your hair in a range of prices. Please see our Product Comparison Guide at the salon. UPDOS EXTENSIONS We offer hair extensions in lengths up to 18" in a wide variety of colors and textures. You must come in for a free 30 min. consultation at least a week before, so we can order the correct type and amount of hair extensions needed specifically for you, You pay for the hair extensions when we order them. A full application generally uses five to six bundles. Each bundle costs between $75 to $135, depending upon what length and texture you want. It takes approximately two to five hours for hair extensions to be applied. The hairstylist will give you an estimate of the time needed. The rate for application is $100 per hour which is paid for when you receive the service. This price includes a haircut and styling to blend the hair extensions with your natural hair, two special hairbrushes for your home care, and a maintenance guide. Free 30 min. bi-monthly maintenance is included with this service. Hair extensions last approximately four to six months. Removal of hair extensions takes the same amount of time as application, includes a shampoo, conditioning, and a blowdry, and costs $100 per hour. |

SKIN CARE Extras with a facial provide the super-richness for mature skin: an Aromatherapy mask uses carefully blended essential oils that can relax or stimulate your mind and body. An Oxygen Therapy mask uses special products that help breathe fresh life into your skin. The Microtreatments include specialized products particular to each area. Glycolic peels use a plant-based alpha hydroxy solution to gently disintegrate the surface skin, and Manual Microdermabrasion gently sloughs off dead skin cells. Both of these treatments reveal the baby smooth skin just below the surface. Best results are achieved with a series done over the course of a few weeks. Teen facials take less time (and therefore cost less) because there is generally no massage in order not to awaken the sebaceous glands. A Back Treatment deals with acne on the back. In a Thermasoft treatment, the hands and/or feet are encased in a warm cream inside a mitten and/or sock that infuses the skin with moisture and leaves the skin incredibly soft for a few days. We use BioElements, Glymed, Nelly du Vuyst, and Aveda products. MANUAL MICRODERMABRASION EYELASH EXTENSIONS Our newest service offers you the application of single synthetic eyelashes to your individual eyelashes. The price difference depends on how many you would like: a Natural Look takes about 30 minutes and costs $125. A Dramatic set of eyelashes takes an hour to apply and costs $150. A Glamorous look takes one and a half hours and costs $200. With the proper care, which will be explained to you at the service, eyelash extensions are designed to stay on for several weeks.

We use OPI and Creative Spa products. We also want to reassure you that since 2007, OPI has removed the toluene, DBP, and formaldehyde from all of their nail polishes. SPRAY TANNING The
Mystic TanTM UV-Free tanning booth uses a spray-on
tanning technique that creates an even, natural-looking tan in less than 60
seconds and lasts approximately 7 days. Mystic Tan’s proven spray-on technique
dispenses a fine mist of its proprietary sunless tanning solution, made up of
moisturizing Aloe Vera and the sunless tanner. The booth’s
patented MagneTan technology uses the human body’s natural magnetic
properties to evenly attract the solution to the body.

Fresh
Hair requires that you contact the salon at least three hours before an
appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.
If for any reason you do not contact us to cancel or reschedule at least
three hours before your appointment, you will be considered a ‘no-show’. Because we reserve specific amounts of time for each particular service, it is important that you are here on time. If you arrive more than halfway through your appointment time, we may not be able to service you sufficiently and this can count as a 'no-show'. If
you acquire two no-shows on file, we require that you leave a credit card number
to book another appointment. Your
credit card will only be charged if there is not prior notification of the third
appointment being cancelled or rescheduled.
Please understand that the service providers are paid by commission and their time is important. This policy has been implemented to protect their livelihood. If you have any questions or comments, please email info@freshhair.com. Thank you for understanding.
A Word About Small Children in the Salon We love kids, and we want to preserve their health and safety. Because we work with some dangerous materials (scissors, razors, bleach, hot water, etc) we are requesting that any infants or toddlers in the salon be appropriately restrained at the correct height. We get nervous when a parent asks to hold a squirming child on her/his lap while the parent is receiving a service. As careful as we might be, accidents do happen. Please help us to protect your child. Use a stroller, or place a car seat on top of a counter (the service provider will clear a space), and please do not let your children run inside the salon. Thank you for understanding.
